In May 2021, Professor Soonjin Yoon was appointed Co-Chair of the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Committee of the Republic of Korea.

After earning her Ph.D. in Environmental and Energy Policy from the University of Delaware, Professor Yoon has dedicated her career to addressing sustainability and environmental and energy issues through extensive research, teaching, and civic engagement.

Prior to her appointment as Co-Chair of the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Committee, she served as Chair of the Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development, President of the Korea Energy Information and Culture Agency, and Chair of the Seoul Energy Policy Committee.
